Klingon Bird of Prey Origami by kryz-flavored Klingon Bird of Prey Origami by kryz-flavored
van mughIjbe'

I doubt that's the proper syntax, but if you can translate my horrible broken klingon, feel free to giggle at my feeble humor.
[direct translation does sound a bit shakespearean.. maybe I am right after all]

*edit* "I fear no paper" is what it is supposed to say...
-------------------------------------------------------

An origami bird of prey--the klingon model, not romulan [though i'd kill for folding instructions for a warbird]

Folding instructions from "Star Trek: Paper Universe"

Yep I came up with a scorpian design (animals, not the fighter from Nemesis :D ), but it only has 6 legs and a set of claws. I've got to figure out how to get the 4th set of legs in. It looks pretty good, otherwise, though :D

whoa--really?! you designed your own?! :faint:
props...i can't imagine how you paper-folding gurus do that; i'm floored by some of the stuff i've seen, and i'd love to see your scorpion [even if it is sans a pair of legs]
[and :giggle: @ nemesis ref]

Actualy, I'm not that much of a "guru" I simply modified (accidentally screwed up ) a spider design and added a type of fold for a shrimp that I found. It doesn't look that bad, though. I'll see if I can put it all together again. It's been a while (10 years? :wow: ) since I did it last :D

O_O

This, my dear friend, is BEYOND awesome!

I love it!!!

How about posting instructions or a tutorial for it???

And i can imagine a Romulan Warbird to be quite tough to do, because its so hollow inside... I cant imagine a way of doing that with only one sheet of paper...

You have more of this??? POST IT!!!

you so just made my day :D

it's from a book, so i'm not sure i can here...
[i'm sure i could send you a note, though, without breaking too many copyright laws]

yeah, a warbird would definitely need at least 2 sheets...or some scissors. maybe both

Awe, i wouldnt say it was awesome if i didnt think that... this is SO COOL!
I am very glad, that you are so happy about my comment :3

Wonderful...

and hm... isnt it, that Origami is only considered "real" origami, if NO scissors or glue are used? I mean, i dont mind, its still artful and tough, i´m just wondering...
and i also think, that a 2-sheets-approach might work the best: One for the upper half and the head, one for the lower half (and maybe the tail)...
